Swimming spots
In Vaxholm there are many opportunities for a swim. You are never far from rocks or a beach. Here are some tips.
NORRHAMNSBADET
Centrally located bathing spot in Vaxholm, at the western tip of Batteriparken. Picturesque bathing experience with a view of the historic fishing harbor. Here, you’ll find bathing cliffs and a small sandy beach.
NORRBERGSBADET
Sunbathe and swim from cliffs. Norrbergsbadet is a simple outdoor bath located where the jetties that run along Norrberget end. Great afternoon sun and a swimming ladder from the jetty. Deep water.
JOHANNESBERGSPARKEN
In Johannesbergsparken, you’ll find lovely grassy areas and a small child-friendly beach. Nice south-facing position and access to shade. There is also a public sauna here that can be booked.
ERIKSÖBADET
A larger child-friendly bathing spot with a sandy beach. Here you’ll find a playground, cliffs, a jetty, a barbecue area and toilets. This bathing spot is located in an outdoor area with jogging trails, forests and shelters. There is a kiosk and a small café on-site, adjacent to the campsite. Nearby, there is also an adventure park and canoe rental.
TENÖBADET
Tenöbadet on Bogesundslandet has large grassy areas, a sandy beach, and a playground. There is a barbecue area, picnic benches and toilets available. Hiking trails pass by the beach.
FRIDHEMSBADET
Fridhemsbadet is located near Karlsudd. Follow the path to the right of the parking lot at the Fridhem jetty, and you’ll find a shallow, child-friendly sandy beach surrounded by beautiful forest with many trails. There is a barbecue area and benches and often you can hear the delightful sound of waves.
